Early Pregnancy Care & Support
We at St Jude's aim to look after patients beyond the time taken for a typical cycle of infertility treatment. On becoming pregnant, a GP will typically refer expectant mothers to a local hospital for antenatal care. However this first appointment is usually after 12 weeks of pregnancy, after which it will take time to develop a rapport with "new" care givers. To provide much needed care and support in this initial stage of pregnancy when most ladies are understandably anxious, St Jude's now provides an Early Pregnancy Care Package from week 6 to 16 of a pregnancy.
This package will include:
- A repeat scan at 8-9 weeks
- An assessment, examination or advice should there be any problems e.g. bleeding
- A further reassurance scan at about 14-15 weeks
- A 20% discount on the cost of a 4D scan at 27-29 weeks
